Julie Staples
Julie Ann Jackola Staples, 37, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at her home. She was born in Durham.
Julie was a registered nurse at Duke Hospital for 7 years. She was passionate about her work and had a love for helping people. She was also about to finish her BSN Degree at the University North Carolina Wilmington. Julie was one of the youngest in her family of eight. She had such a big heart for her family and loved getting together for events.
Julie was an amazing wife and companion. She loved her husband unconditionally. Julie was also the best mother to her son Jacob who she loved dearly. She was a wonderful sister as well as an awesome aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was such a special person and loved like no other.
Julie had many aspirations in life but among the most important of them was the way she served God. She attended Bahama Baptist Church and served as a youth director. She mentored others and showed the light of Jesus in the way she lived.
Julie gracefully battled Cholangiocarcinoma which is also known as Bile Duct Cancer. This cancer is rare and does not have many treatment options. She fought for over two and a half years with such strength. She did this knowing that her prognosis was always going to be terminal.
Julie trusted and honored what God had planned for her life and never wavered or questioned the sovereignty of God. Julie would want everyone to be at peace knowing she is in the presence of God our Lord and Savior. She would also want us to know that we will all be together one day in paradise to those who trust in the lord.
Julie had such a big family and many friends. We all loved her so well. We will truly miss you. We have hope that will all see you soon.
Julie is survived by her husband, Clinton Staples; son, Jacob Staples; father, Randall Jackola and wife Jo Ann; mother, Twila Hurley and husband Sonny; brothers, Daniel Jackola and wife Kara; David Jackola and wife Jennifer, Jeremiah Jackola, Dale Carthen, Jonathan Jackola; sisters, Lori Jackola, Lisa Cooley and husband Keith; step-brother, Keaton Mann; 13 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece.
