On March 8 2017 LeAndre “Lee” Patterson was diagnosed at 50 years old with Stage III Bile Duct Cancer. Before leaving the hospital, Lee had a stent put in his right Bile Duct to relieve him of Jaundice. A few weeks later, March 30th, 2017 he turned 51. From here it was a steady decline. He developed blood clots in his lungs first then throughout his body. The pain of the cancer spreading became unbearable. The infection in his liver had gotten so bad he had to get a drainage tube put in to relieve his liver from the rapid infection. On August 25 Lee had two seizures. Given the impact of these seizures he lost the majority his cognitive abilities. Lee agreed to try Chemo approximately six weeks before he passed away. Lee endured a lot of setbacks during his chemo & he was only able to tolerate 4 rounds of chemo. On September 8th, 2017 Lee was put on hospice. September 11th, 2017 was his 29th anniversary with his Wife Vicky. On September 19th, 2017 Lee lost the ability to walk, talk, & swallow. On September 22nd 2017 LeAndre parted ways with the earth. Over the course of these six months, Lee lost 115lbs. Lee put up the best fight he could.
