Nicole Pham

  • Nicole Pham, was diagnosed with perihilar cholangiocarcinoma and fought until Saturday, November 10, 2018.  Nicole lived to serve others.  Being the eldest of the 3 girls in her family, she managed the family business at an early age after her father fell ill with kidney failure and his subsequent passing when she was only 19 years old.  Nicole dedicated her life to family and friends, always looking for opportunities to help wherever she saw a need or chance for enrichment of their lives.  She managed a number of businesses and also enjoyed working with the public at United Airlines.  Nicole was a trailblazer and never afraid to be the first in her class.  She was the first cholangiocarcinoma patient in the Zymeworks ZW25 clinical trial, a targeted therapy for HER2 amplified patients.  The trial proved to significantly reduce the target lesions and this is now provides valuable hope to other HER2 amplified patients.  It is Nicole’s fervent desire to continue her service to others through raising awareness and funds for a cure.
