The 4th Annual Silent Auction Benefit Loving Memory of Jacques Dupont and Becki Mignogna
The 4th Annual Silent Auction Benefit Loving Memory of Jacques Dupont and Becki Mignogna, was a HUGE success. The benefit was held Saturday, November 23rd at The Atkinson Resort & Country Club in Atkinson, NH. The event featured DJ Billy Rears of Get Down Tonight Entertainment who got the guests dancing, appetizers, pasta stations, salad, garlic bread, and a cash bar. There were over 130 items for guests to bid on at the Silent Auction tables – 7 Live Auction items (including a Safari for 2 to South Africa) a wine raffle where people purchased wine corks for a chance to win one of 15 bottles of wine. Attendees were able to bid on and win some amazing auction items… many bargain were had this year. This years event surpassed my expectations, and for those who know me my expectations are always very high – We raised $18,100.for The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
It was another emotional night, indeed. The room was full of respect, compassion, love, and an understanding of why this foundation is so very important to me and many others. I will never stop fighting the fight. We had 210 guests in attendance this year and we had to turn down 25 more, as the food had already been ordered and the floor plan was finalized. I have already met with my venue coordinator and we will be able to have up to 275 guests next year. The pictures are not great – but a local photographer is signed up for next year. Next years benefit is already booked and many people and businesses in town have emailed or called me as they want to be involved next year. The 5th Annual Jacques Dupont Benefit will be held in November at the same venue and the DJ has already committed to donate his services again.
November 10, 2016 will mark 9 years that cholangiocarcinoma took the love of my life – but I promised him that I would make raising awareness to one day find a cure my mission – and I will never give up.
