Vicki Lukawski

It’s never easy to learn that a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer. The unknowns can be overwhelming and the fear of loss paralyzing.

Despite the shock that befell the family when we learned that Vicki was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, she responded how she has to the many challenges faced throughout her life: with courage, grit and a positive attitude. In her fight with this extremely aggressive cancer, Vicki held strong. She focused on the joy of family and friends, the prospects for healing, and the promise of renewal that the Christmas holiday brought us all throughout this especially difficult winter.

Our beloved Vicki’s battle against this terrible disease has ended. She left us quietly, tenderly, and finally free of pain. Though we mourn the loss of our dear wife, mother, sister and friend, her joyful fighting spirit lives on. Along with it, her belief that kindness and a positive outlook can move mountains and transform lives.

In memory of Vicki, and in the spirit of generosity she instilled in us all, we are deeply grateful for your donations to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Your donation will help give others a fighting chance against this disease, bring them needed comfort and hope, and contribute to one day finding a cure. May Vicki’s memory, and the memory of all those we’ve lost too soon to cancer, be eternal.
