Hi Suzanne, I hope your dad gets home this week. There is still plenty that can be done to make him as comfortable as possible. Please come back for any support and advice you want and to let us know how your dad and you are.
claremSpectatorGreat news Pam – it’s lovely to know that Lauren is going in the right direction. Take care of yourself too.
Clare
claremSpectatorDear Dianne,
I also wanted to pass on my condolences for the loss of your husband Chris. What a lovely obituary.
Please take care of yourself,
Clare
claremSpectatorHi Deborah,
Lainy is right. You are being strong and you will find a way of digging deep. Don’t feel bad about not holding it together – it doesn’t mean you’re weak or not coping. You clearly love your grandmother.
Take care of yourself and let us know when you get the chance how you both are.
claremSpectatorHi Christine,
Good move on the hospital and I hope they can sort out the symptoms you are having so you can start to feel better again.
claremSpectatorHi pam,
Lovely news to read on a Saturday morning:-).
Take care of you too!
claremSpectatorDear mags,
I am so sorry to read that your dad died yesterday. You had been in my thoughts over the last couple of days -I had been wondering how your dad was. Be proud of all that you did for him – your love and selflessness in helping him are so apparent.
Please take care of yourself and mum over the next few days.

claremSpectatorHi Rosegrace,
I just wanted to say hello and that there will be so much support, knowledge and advice here for you and your family. Hopefully the itching will start to settle now that she has a stent in meaning her jaundice/bilirubin level will come down.

claremSpectatorI’m ok Lynn. It’s all hitting home nowband it’s very hard being away from the rest of my family – I think I came home to early but time was all distorted. The last two weeks have been a breeze compared to the last 2 days.
claremSpectatorHi Neil,
Welcome to the site which I agree is full of great support and information. I have learnt so much here. I’m also in the UK – north of the border in Glasgow.
Your blog is great – already looking forward to reading more about your recovery.
Keep well,
claremSpectatorHi Lynn,
Beautiful words. How are you today?
claremSpectatorHi Stan and welcome to the forum. I fairly new here too and yes the support and encouragement is phenomenal.
claremSpectatorI’m just saddened that I can’t post good updates on how my sister is doing and that it came to this from nothing so quickly.
Sorry to hijack your thread Lynn. I meant to say in my original reply that I love the penny! I had wanted to agree a ‘sign’ with my sister so that I would know it was her visiting but her decline was just too rapid and the opportunity to ask her never happened.
claremSpectatorBeautiful Lainy.X
claremSpectatorThank you everyone. Holly, there is a bit more to the quote that comes prior to what I posted. After what you said about your dad’s beliefs I thought you might like it. Keep well too -(I read your post on the other thread).
“All men have stars, but they are not the same things for different people. For some, who are travelers, the stars are guides. For others they are no more than little lights in the sky. For others, who are scholars, they are problems… But all these stars are silent. You-You alone will have stars as no one else has them… In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars will be laughing when you look at the sky at night..You, only you, will have stars that can laugh! And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me… You will always be my friend. You will want to laugh with me. And you will sometimes open your window, so, for that pleasure… And your friends will be properly astonished to see you laughing as you look up at the sky!”
