ModeratorJust thought I’d throw this in for asprin use. Old piece I know but worth a read.

ModeratorHi all,
I’d just like to chime in here and remind people that there are risk associated with regular asprin use such as stomach ulcers which I can vouch for on that front! So as with all things med related, please consult with the doc or onc’s etc before starting on asprin use for anything.
I will answer the questions posed as well for my dad.
1) High blood pressure for a few years and took medication for it, Perindopril I think it was.
2) See answer No 1
3) Reasonably active for someone that age and weight. Walked lots all of his life and swam twice a week. But he could do with losing a few pounds though!
4) Diet, not the best I guess but not the worst either. Probably not enough fresh fruit and veg.
5) None
6) None
History of heart disease on that side of the family but no cancer really. Non smoker and very moderate intake of alcohol.
Hope some of that is useful.
Hugs,
Gavin

ModeratorHi Crissie,
I do not blame you for being paranoid about CC but please know that as far as I am aware there is no evidence at all to support the idea that CC is an inherited cancer. I have not come across anything at all that would suggest that it can be inherited from one generation to the next. My dad died of CC back in 2009 so I so know where you are coming from here but IMO, please do not worry about this.
Go live your life, enjoy your wine and please try not to worry about this. And if it helps in any way, please know as well that I don’t worry about my developing CC at some point just because my dad had it.
I hope some of that help.
Hugs,
Gavin
PS – Enjoy your wine tonight!

ModeratorDear Christina,
I am so very sorry indeed to hear of the passing of your dear mum. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Having lost my dad to this cancer back in 2009 I so know the pain that you feel right now and wish that there was something I could say that would help ease your pain. Please know that we are all here for you and my thoughts are with you and your family right now.
Hugs,
Gavin

ModeratorHi Billy,
Not sure of that myself as I wasn’t there. Bit hoping someone else will be able to chime in on this and hopefully the videos etc of the conference will be available to view soon. But not sure when they will be online.
Best wishes,
Gavin
