Having trouble with link. Is there any other way to view it?
Thanks,

I am so sorry that you and your brother are having to deal with this. When I was diagnosed I had multiple lymph node involvement including mutliple nodes around my heart. I was given the option of chemo, although I was told that only 30% will get any response. Next month will be 2 years since my diagnosis. It’s your brothers choice but I think that he needs to know that sometimes it does help. If there is anything I can do please just ask. I am being treated at the Mayo in Minnesota. Please feel free to email me directly if you’d like. Take care and God Bless,

Great news! I am home now. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, and thanks to my Mom for taking such good care of me in the hospital. I don’t know what I would do with out her. I know my recovery would be much longer without her. Thanks Jess for keeping you all informed!
I am in some pain from the incisions, and feel very weak right now. But we know that when we are weak, God is strong and we cling ever more tightly to Him.
My surgeon does not really know what the relationship between the cholangiocarcinoma and the inflamed appendix is, if any, but he seems to feel that I was more susceptable due to the cancer and treatments over the past 2 years. I asked him how I was doing, and he looked me in the eyes and said “You’re doing great!”. So I decided to believe him.
I am eating small portions of food now, as my appetite is nearly shot. However, everything is staying down and the nausea has passed, thanks be to God. I think a lot of my nausea and dizziness is from the strong pain meds that they had me on.
So I am home now and the plan is to rest, rest, rest, and recuperate. I will be using a walker till I get my strength back. A home nurse will be visiting a couple of times a week to take vitals and check up on me. So all is good, praise God!
Toddling off to bed now,
Love to all – Lisajamie-dMemberAmy;

I am so sorry that your family has to go through this. I send prayers your way for you and your brother. What did the oncologist offer for treatment options? I was told I was inoperable but ended up having a resection after 7 months of chemo. This disease is a monster and very unfair. I am glad that you found this site because I believe you will find lots of support. I will keep you and your brother in my prayers. Take care and God Bless,

I am so sorry for your loss. What a blessing that he was able to go out to eat just 10 days earlier and that it was a peaceful passing. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. As a patient, I appreciate hearing how the caregiver feels and their experiences. I try and remember that although I am the one with this cancer it affects my family also. It’s not all about me and I need to try and make this as easy for them also. Again thank you for sharing and I will be praying for you and your family during this difficult time.
Take care and God Bless,
Jamiejamie-dMemberHi all;
Just wanted to post an update from Lisa’s daughter. Keep those prayers coming they are working!!!
JamieI called my grandma this morning and she said that my mom is still in the critical ward. They had to give her 3pints of blood and kept her in surgery for 2hours. When the doctor came out he said that she was regaining color but he wants to keep her in critical for a few more days. Doctors and nurses are doing a great job and checking in on her often.
My Grandma will be calling me later today with more news. I will keep you all updated.
Thank you for all the prayers. The power of prayer is truly amazing.
Always,
JessMy Grandma called after my last class to inform me that my mom is doing better. She has been moved from critical ward to another wing of the hospital.
It turns out that she had blood poisoning. Dr. Radish was told today that my mother was in the hospital so he came over and looked at her charts and announced that she had blood poisoning.
She is getting color back and the doctors are hopeful that she will go home in the next few days.
Thank you for all your prayers.
Always,
Jessjamie-dMemberLisa;
If you do need to give away any of the family pets let me know and I will check with some of the rescue people I know. They may have some suggestions or have contacts in Wa. I know they transport from other states also sometimes. Hopefully you will be able to keep them all with you.That’s what I’m gonna pray for because I know how much mine mean to me. Also, what about your horses? Do you have any plans for them? Let me know if there is anything I can do.
Take care and God Bless,

What about any friends or family? In March we got our 4th dog from an acquaintance that we met through a Golden Retriever rescue. He was the foster for one of our dogs. He ended up losing his house to foreclosure and had 4 big dogs. He was able to keep 3 with him but the 4th is old and cant do stairs and we ended up with him. We certainly weren’t planning on getting another dog but I felt we needed to help. I’ve never regretted it. Maybe someone you know would be willing to help out. What breeds are they? I know that the Golden rescue here will do transports from other states. Take care and God Bless,
