Holly, I am so happy for your good numbers but so sad you were sick from chemo. Kill those pesky cancer cells!

I was really anxious before treatment so they gave me IV Ativan and it relaxed me and I slept much of the treatment. It is good to wear comfy clothes. Does she have a port ? If not I recommend one, makes chemo so much easier.

I remember after my Mom died, I relived her last few days over and over in my mind. Did I do all the right things? Was she afraid ? With time I now can relive it with peace. I am praying for you.

I live in Ohio and go to the Cleveland Clinic. I have been very pleased with my doctors and treatment. I know this is a very scary time so call me with any questions or if you just want to talk, scream, cry or pick my brain.

330-903-6868We met with Dr. Fung at the Cleveland Clinic today and went over Lisa’s PET/CT scan. Lisa has developed a new liver tumor which is her 5th recurrence.The good news is that the tumor is small(1.3cm), there is only one tumor and the rest of her scan was clear. Dr. Fung feels because of the location that steriotactic radiation may be the best treatment. He will consult with the tumor board in the next week and then set up the treatment plan. Dr. Fung is a class act doctor, he made special arrangements to come in today to meet with us. We are so appreciative of the care and compassion we receive at the Cleveland Clinic from Dr. Fung, Dr. Stephans, Dr. Estfan, Vicki, Elaine and Samantha. Please continue to pray for Lisa and our family. We are truly blessed.

LisaClare, welcome to this wonderful family of support and love. I am so pleased to hear that they are moving head with the liver resection. I have had two resections and recovered just fine. It is a big surgery but you will be amazed at how each day she will get stronger and stronger.
