Larissa,
I am so sorry for your pain. Hospice is a wonderful opportunity to keep your Aunt comfortable and able to share time with her family. I think it is so beautiful that you are going to visit her and support her decision. Praying for your family.

LisalisacraineSpectatorI love to read about the dropping numbers and yes, I had a love/hate relationship with chemo. When I was on the portable pump at home I would look at it and tell it I loved it and hated it, I’m sure my family thought I was crazy. Praying for good scan results.
Peace and hugs

This is fantastic news. I have read that recurrence happens a lot when clean margins are not able to be attained or there are distant lymph nodes involved. I had recurrence after my first resection but my tumor was pressing on the artery so they took the whole tumor but could not go any farther to get a clean margin border. My body did not respond to chemo but I did have good luck with steriotactic radiation for some small tumors.

Welcome and thank you for sharing your story and giving so many hope. I also had a liver resection removing 75% of my liver, big surgery but so grateful to have had it.

LisalisacraineSpectatorLarissa,
Welcome to this amazing, loving and supportive group. Sounds like your Aunt has a wonderful niece. I agree with Lainy, a second and third opinion is in order. My cancer did not respond to the four different chemo treatments I had but I did have great results from steriotactic radiation. There are so many new trials happening so please do not give up hope. I would also recommend that your second and third opinion be from a multidisciplinary team who has treated other Cholangiocarcinoma patients.
Hugs

lisacraineSpectatorCongrats on a successful surgery. I also had to take diuretics for swollen legs and belly. The walking also helped with this.
