Hi Angela….we have Cholangiocarcinoma.org Foundation bracelets. I have quite a few left over from the GI conference attendances. (Sorry, Lainy for not mentioning it, earlier.) If you give me your address I will gladly mail some to.
So sorry to hear about your Aunt. Please, keep in mind to search out different opinions in re: to the treatment (if that is what she choses to do.) You may talk to three different specialist and each of them may disagree with the other therefore, you need to seek out several opinions by gathering all medical information (including lab tests) pertaining to your Aunt’s diagnoses and forwarding it to those physicians working with high volumes of Choloangiocarcinoma/bile duct patients.
Sending tons of good wishes your way,

    Hi All,
I thought to pass this on just, in case. I don’t know anything about this group however, it appears to be an international organization and, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is represanted in the UK, also. I wish for me to have known about it two years ago when my husband passed away.

GriefShare groups meet across the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and in other countries. You can find one near you at http://www.griefshare.org .
My heart and thoughts are with you, always

Carol….They have not rejected you formally, as of yet so, there still is hope. Sending good wishes for Charlie to feeling a bit better by tomorrow and then for him to continue on, upwards. Take care of yourself. When tending to someone else’s need it is easy to overlook one’s one health. Hoping for good news coming your way (and ours.)

Tess….I am impressed with your approach by searching out the different specialists in re: to a treatment protocol for your Dad. I believe for knowledge to give us the power to make informed decisions. You are a great example. Wishing for your Dad to rid himself of the infection soon.

Heather…Jeff (as always) covers it all. When looking back at the postings on this board, you will notice (at one point) for Gemzar to be replaced with other treatment protocols. You are saying that Lee has gained 43 pounds but you are not mentioning the time span for this weight gain but, I assume that the onoclogist is watching all of this closely, and possibly, will recommend a diuretic for Lee in addition to a stent. The good news is that Lee is feeling well overall. Please, keep us informed with the MRI results.
Tons of good wishes coming your way,

Dear Sophie…..Peter, for example has had ascities at least for over a year and so have others on this board. Jeff also has fluid removed from his lungs, not infrequently, and has written about it. Others also have the fluid drained when it became too uncomfortable therefore, there are options which you might want to discuss with the physician. I am hoping for others to answer your questions in re: to water consumption as I don’t have any experience with it. Although, you may not be able to notice it but, the Lasix may already be effective. So, who says that you won’t be able to see your grandchild?
I am sending tons of hugs in your direction and am awaiting to hear about the CT scan results, on Tuesday.
