We travel from Alabama to MDA in Texas. I go every 3 months for scans and to see my doctor. He gives the orders to my local onc and I see her every week. I’m most of the time in Texas for 3 days.

Gavin- you know I’m excited about this! I do wish MDA would of had a GI cancer in the program though. :-/
Huge hugs to you my friend!

Sorry- I have chemo brain. Yes! Please tell them you want to meet with dr. Javle. :-) I really think you will be happy with him. Also are you getting pet or ct scans? Ask for a pet if your not getting them.
I was told I had a spot on my lungs until I got a pet at MDA, and it turned out to be nothing.
    God bless.

    Kelly-
I see dr. Javle at md Anderson. Have you seen him? He is awesome, and an amazing person. He is saving my life. Maybe if you haven’t seen him, tell them you want to meet with him.

I have called the mayo, and really I haven’t had much luck with them. They never call me back!

Hey Kelly! Sorry you had to find us.

You are in the right place with MD Anderson! I love them there! I see Dr. Javle. He is the sweetest man! I have had lots of success under his care. When I first started, I was given no hope for surgery or transplant. Now, almost a year later, I find myself on the transplant list at the Methodist Hospital there in Houston.

Hang in there girl, this can be a hard ride, but with love and support, you will be just fine.

I agree! There is no need for pain. Go to the ER, they will take care of your pain.

Oh yes Eli! That is on the list! My sister is a match for me, she would love nothing more than to say she saved my life. ;)

I’m starting to become more at peace with it! But by looking at my meld score, I might have a long wait.

Thank you both for the support.
I know my feelings are totally normal.
I’m going to try my best to NOT send myself to the nut house thinking about all this.

I do believe I’m going to get with Dr. Chapman. I just need to hear what he has to say.
