Dear Friends in the Cholangiocarcinoma Community,
Five for Friday was created as a way to provide tips to help navigate you through these difficult times. We are saddened by the recent death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and others.
In an effort to adapt to the current events we have decided to share 5 ways to stand up against racism and injustice.
CCF realizes there is much work to be done and is committed to taking part in the movement towards systemic change. We promise to continue to move forward together. We are committed to be more kind and respectful of others, to listen carefully as we engage in thoughtful conversation, and take courageous action when we see acts of intolerance or racism.
Listen to and amplify Black voices
Call out bigotry and hate speech
Teach children about kindness, fairness and human rights
Support human rights organizations
Share ideas with us – If you find a good resource that would help others in this trying time please send it to us. We will share relevant information with our community. The cancer community knows more than most about social distancing and self-quarantining, help us educate the wider community about how to stay safe and how to make others safer.
Please remember, we are here for you!
