Phung Xuan Le

June 1st, 1958 – December 7th, 2021

On December 7th, 2021 Phung Xuan Le passed away less than two months after being diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (a rare cancer of the bile duct). Phung was a loving, patient, and supportive husband to Mymy Phu and an unsurpassed father to son Phi and daughter Brenda.

Cholangiocarcinoma is rare and further research is necessary to improve our ability to predict, detect, and treat it. In the spirit of Phung’s generosity and compassion for all those affected by the hardships of life, we ask that donations be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation in lieu of flowers or monetary gifts to the family.

The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation supports advancement in research on this rare cancer. It also provides educational resources to spread awareness of the disease and connects medical providers, researchers, and patients together in a nationwide network. Additionally, it provides support resources for patients and their family members.
