Dennis Schwartz
11/01/1939 – 04/06/2022
On April 6, 2022, a beloved husband and father, Dennis (Denny) Schwartz, passed away following a short battle with a recently diagnosed and aggressive rare cancer of the bile duct called Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma. Dennis was a loving husband to elementary school teacher Nancy (retired), and a mentor for his son Dan, a clinical research professional, and founder of Health Evidence Analytics LLC.
Dennis was a Navy veteran, honorably discharged following service on the USS Saratoga, which included deployment during the Cuban Missile Crisis. As a civilian, he enjoyed hunting in Northern Minnesota, traveling with family, exploring new food and wine pairings, participating in the Senior Tennis Players Club in Minneapolis, researching and trading stocks, and entertaining the family dogs, most recently his grandpuppy, Rousseau.
In celebration of his life and to honor his memory, we are initiating a fund-raising campaign for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, with the goal of supporting research to accelerate diagnostics, increase treatment options and improve survival rates for patients. The Schwartz family and their friends thank you for honoring Denny’s memory by advancing research for this devastating disease.
