Christina Gambogi, a cholangiocarcinoma patient and longtime ShopRite employee, nominated the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, and CCF was voted the Charity of the Month for May by ShopRite employees. All ShopRite locations throughout New Jersey will support CCF throughout the month by accepting donations and hosting a variety of competitions and fundraising opportunities in the store each day. Tour de Pier: Team Talia
Sunday, May 21st, in Manhattan Beach, CA
Tour de Pier is a popular fundraising event in Manhattan Beach that invites community members to exercise on stationary bikes together to raise money for a variety of cancer charities. Talia Fredrick was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma on her 45th birthday. At last year’s Tour de Pier, Talia’s friends and family surprised her with an outpouring of affection and support by organizing Team Talia. With “We Ride Together” across their teal shirts, they raised over $10,000 but, most importantly, surrounded Talia with love, hope, and strength to continue her cancer journey. Team Talia will be riding together at this year’s event.
