Cathy – I am so sorry to hear about Gerry, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts. – Colleen
colleenSpectatorCandy – my husband was diagnosed in March 07 and had his first drains put in the first week of April. At first he had tons of problems with them and had to have them changed out 7 times in just over a weeks time. He went all summer with no problems then in November he started having problems with them again and has had to have them replaced 5 times. They really don’t bother my husband at all, we were told from the begining that they can be very problematic and our doctor doesn’t seem to keen on placing metal stents just yet. – Colleen
colleenSpectatorMichele – I am so sorry to hear about Tom, we have been having our own struggles. We are looking at starting systemic chemo also. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be in touch.

ColleencolleenSpectatorHi Charlene!
My husband has had 4 chemoembolizations since May. Before the treatments started we were told they would do up to 3 back to back treatments, maybe a 4th and each treatment would be about 6 weeks apart. The side effects were different for each. Some with very little pain some with a lot. He was nauseous for a couple of days after each of them, but not so bad that he couldncolleenSpectatorRick, Stacie and the entire Clements Family –
I love the new site! What a great tribute to make to Mark. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have this great community of loving and caring people to turn to for support. As Patrice said this site is a true blessing for all of us that are battling this disease, whether as a caregiver or patient. Happy Birthday Mark! – ColleencolleenSpectatorJeff – Here it is – Colleen

At Johns Hopkins we have been seeing Dr. J.F. “Jeff” Geschwind – Intervenial Radiologist and Dr. Mike Choti – Liver Surgeon, he is still on our case even though they have ruled out surgery for my husband.
