    Hi Kevin,

Somehow I missed that last post. Thanks for bring this up as I had not heard of this before either. Yes, it would have been helpful to you had you known about it sooner. Hopefully the information you have supplied will be of some benefit to others in the UK in need of these services.

Hope you are doing OK. Take care.

    Dear Richard,

So sorry for your loss. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. Dawn fought long and hard and was an inspiration to others dealing with this disease. Although loss is always hard, take some comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering or in pain. Keep her with you forever in you heart and memories of the good times.

    Hugs,

    Tony,

I’m glad you reposted as it does appear your original posts were lost among the discussions. I would like to give you a very warm welcome and say that although I’m sorry you had to find us, I am glad that you did and that you didn’t give up on us. :)

I’m glad that your wife seems to be doing OK for the moment and hope that things improve as she starts her treatments back up.

I’m sure others will be on to welcome you soon. We are a great group. Very supportive and helpful and the best place to be when dealing with this relatively rare type of cancer.

Please keep us updated as to how she is doing. We do care. Thanks for giving us another chance. :)

Wishing you the best in the New Year.

    Sally,

Yes let’s hope that 2016 will bring great advances towards a cure for this terrible disease. Glad you had this time together and hope you will be able to do the same next year. Wishing your sister the best with her treatments. Looking forward to hearing how she is doing. I am sending you all lots of positive thoughts and prayers.

    Julie,

I also want to thank you for sharing this as it may be useful to others in the future. Marion’s quote is so true. No one can know how any one person’s body will react to certain procedures.

I too am hoping the pain can be kept at a minimum and you will get some answers and relief when you get to Mayo.

Keep us updated as to how you are doing.

    Love & Hugs,

    Sharon,

You’ve already gotten some great responses and advice. All I can add is to cherish the time you have be it more or less and just take things one day at a time. Feel free to come here and vent all you want. We are all more than happy to listen. We’ve all been there and are happy to help and support you in any way that we can. As Jim said, you are not alone.

Take care and let us know how you and Phil are doing.

    Love & Hugs,
