I would love to have any and all of you as my guests! Last night I went and saw Edgar and Sig speak. I am a bigger fan than ever. These are a couple of great guys. Edgar invited me to see the Northwestern in a couple of weeks. I think I will take him up on that offer. I sure wish you all could have been there with me.

I have a friend whose husband suffers from PSC. I told her about the link between PSC and cholangiocarcinoma so they can keep a careful eye on his health. He is in his early 40’s with 2 young children and I pray to God that they don’t have to go through this.

I think they plan on having this on a yearly basis. Gavin, or anyone else, if you want to come out next year you are welcome to bunk at my place.

I need to upload the pics onto my facebook page later today. Unfortunately I didn’t figure out the zoom feature on the camera until after the panel discussions :)

    Hi Tom,
I was diagnosed in August 2007. I have gone through several different chemos, but the one that I am on now is a combination of three drugs:
epirubicin/cisplatin/5-FU. This has contained the spread since Oct. 09. Have they tried this on your sister?

CatchCon was lots of fun. I met a lot of the crew, as they were just wandering around signing autographs. They had the captains and the crew panels that were hilarious but definitely rated R for language! I met Capt. Johnathan…. OMG… That man is very attractive and could charm any woman. I was trying to recover from the Capt. Johnathan onslaught of charm when I shook hands with Capt. Andy.

I got on the Wizard and the Northwestern. We weren’t allowed inside, but only on the decks. The boats are a lot smaller in real life and it is amazing that 6 men can work, sleep, eat, and live in such close proximity for so long. No wonder fights break out.

I met people from Denver, Tuscon, and Los Angeles. Gavin, someone even flew in from Scotland! It was a good time, and I wish you all could have shared it with me.

There is a memorial for Phil Harris tonight, but I don’t think I’ll be able to go to it. I get really tired by early evening, and I want to conserve my energy for the convention. I even borrowed a wheelchair for the convention, becuase it will be a long day. I will post pictures on my facebook when I get home.

    Hi Gavin
I didn’t know that Deadliest Catch was shown in the UK – that’s pretty cool. The convention and Phil Harris memorial are going to be streamed live on Friday and Saturday. I don’t know what time that would be on your time.

The Wizard and the Northwestern are going to be available for tours. The captains and the crew will be there for a panel discussion, autographs, and photographs. I can’t wait!

    Hi Rick
I’ve also had those symptoms, but got them cleared up with a couple of days in the hospital and stent replacement. Hang in there!

I am so glad you are home! I have been praying for you and Hans everyday. Kris, you are a brave warrior and an inspiration to us all.

So does eating lots of fat and protein include a McDonald’s Big Mac? :)

    Love you much!

Donna, I am so sorry to hear the news. I have been on several different treatments – is Gemar the only one that Jim has been on? The current treatment that I am on is

    Epirubicin/Cisplatin/5-FU

and my lung tumors haven’t grown since October.

    Funny you should ask that…

I had a metal stent installed in January 10, and it became clogged in March. Last week I had an ERCP to remove the metal stent and install 2 plastic ones.

I’m glad you have had good luck with the metal stent.
