    Dear Mary,
I am so sorry to hear that Tom has passed. I haven’t been on this site very long, but you always have a kind word to say to me. You were such an awesome wife and caregiver to Tom. I hope that gives you comfort to know that you did everything you could for him. I am glad he went peacefully. God bless you, Mary, as you face this difficult and sad time. I will be thinking of you and praying for you to find peace.

    Cindy,

That is exciting. What a small world. Did you know it was him by the pants he was wearing?

    Dear robjbeave and AppreciateHelp,

I am so sorry your loved ones are getting worse. My daughter was diagnosed with CC the end of August. I worry every day that I too will someday be posting what you are posting. I pray every day for everyone on this site. I also hope for miracles every day. I just wanted to let you know that I care and I am scared for the future just like you are. Bless you.

    Dear Hopeful daughter,

You are definitely not alone. I keep thinking my urine looks darker than it should. See Lainy-I do that too. If I feel itchy, I start to freak out. Or get a pain in my side. I think it really is just dry skin and a gas bubble, but you can’t help think things like that. When my daughter, Kristen, was in medical school, she thought she had a brain tumor and one of her classmates thought he had every single disease they studied. I think it is just human nature. I think everyone faces financial difficulties no matter how much income they have. My husband has a really good job, but I quit my job to care for my Lauren, so we had to adjust. Plus all the driving to Michigan and turnpike tolls add up. I hope things get easier for you. I am here to offer support. Take care.

    Dear Kris,

I am sorry to say I am pretty new to all this stuff so I can’t answer your questions. I’m sure one of the more experienced members will have some answers for you soon. I wanted to let you know that you are never alone. We are all here for you. I am so sorry you had to drive yourself to the doctor.
I will pray that everything works out for you. I feel a little helpless, but I am offering support and letting you know I care. Take care and good luck.

    Dear Margaret,

I am so sorry to hear this news. I will continue to pray for Tom. When it is his time, I pray it will be peaceful and full of love. You have done everything you could to help dear Tom. I love how you are so feisty and know how you want things to be. You are one of my Heroes on this site and I don’t know what I would do without your advice and support. Take care, Margaret, and just know I will be thinking of you and Tom often. God bless you both and your families.

    Dear Hans,
I did not know Kris for she had passed before my daughter was diagnosed with CC. I know she and Lauren would have gotten along famously. I have gone back through a lot of Kris’s posts and she always seemed to find humor even in her darkest moments. What an honor it must have been to have her as your wife. I am sorry for your loss, but I’m sure you are full of lovely memories of such a beautiful person. She was also lucky to have such a supportive, loving husband. Take care and God bless you.

    Elsy,
Lauren had to miss chemo the time before her last one. Her platelets were too low. She thought it was the end of the world and her cancer was going to start to grow. So many people on this site told us that they had to skip chemo for one reason or another too. Well, she rested and drank a lot of Gatorade. Her platelets went from 86 to 266 in one week. She is back on her chemo schedule and feeling great! I hope your Grandma feels better soon.

    Dear Elsy,
We were told by someone that curcumin and something milkweed? helped some guy overcome cancer. We asked the doctor about this and he said ABSOLUTELY NOT! I guess you can’t take anything while on a clinical trial or it could mess up the results. So, we continue with a multivitamin and that is it. I guess you should speak to your doctor to see what they advise.

    Dear Susie,
I am so glad you are finished with your radiation. I’m sorry it has been so hard on you. What is next for you? I hope you get a chance to have a little time off of treatments and recoop for awhile. Take care and feel better.

    Love, -Pam

    Andrew,
Best of luck to your sister on her new treatment. Like Susie said, if your sister hates needles she might consider a port. My daughter has one and is on chemo right now. I’m not much into super powers, but maybe immortality would be nice. No pain or sickness. Take care.
