Oh Kris,
The right words escape me too right now, but know I am thinking of you. I am glad you have your sister their with you along with Hans. I too know that what ever you decide to do will be what is best for you.

I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through. I have been following your posts, but it is so hard to know what to say. It is so similar to what I went through with my husband in the end. Just know that I am thinking of you and your family. Your are a wonderful, supportive daughter and I am sure that your Dad knows you are there for him. Take care Pam.

Appreciate the update, but am so sorry to hear all of this. It is amazing through all this that you still have your wonderful sense of humor. I along with many others here do understand. Jim has been gone over two years and there is not a day I don’t think of him and grieve my loss. We were married over 41 years and yes, it is hard.
Someone sent this to me and it has been of some comfort:
How long will the pain last?
All the rest of your life.
But the thing to remember is that not only the pain will last, but the blessed
memories as well. Tears are the proof of life. The more love, the more tears.
If this be true, then how could we ever ask that the pain cease altogether. For then the memory of love would go with it. The pain of grief is the price we pay for love.Some how we learn how to go on, but I don’t think we ever truely get over it. Unless it has happened to them, no one can really understand what it is like and what we are going through.
I agree with Margaret, it is good that you are seeking counseling as you do need to talk it out. Most people don’t want to listen any more. I am fortunate that I have a very good friend who is in almost the same situation as I am. Her husband passed away 3 months after Jim. We talk a lot, we cry a lot and we support each other as best we can.
I really do feel that the stronger the love, the harder we grieve. We will all make it through this, we will all be OK, but our lives will never be the same again and we don’t have to get over it.
Please keep coming back here. You do have friends that will listen, understand & care. All of us on the CC site.
