SpectatorCarolyn,
Welcome to this wonderful group. I was diagnosed in 2010 with stage IV ICC. I am treated at The Cleveland Clinic and love my medical team. My faith has been my rock along with my family, friends and all the beautiful people on his site. Please call me anytime if you would like to talk or have any questions.

SpectatorHi Carla
Welcome to our wonderful family. A second opinion is a must, the sooner the better. I would make sure that your second opinion is with a multidisciplinary approach; also make sure the group of doctors has treated CC before. The sooner you feel confident about your treatment plan the sooner you will be able to breathe. Please call me anytime if you want to talk.

SpectatorRoxanne,
Welcome. I am so sorry to read about your journey so far, but I am happy that you have found a solid second opinion. I will be praying you get the approval for surgery at USC ASAP.

SpectatorHi,
I have been on Gemzar in combination with Cisplatin and with Oxiliplatin and tolerated both pretty well. I was fatigued, a little nauseated and achy(flu like) for a couple days after infusion but I still was able to complete my normal routine after the second day. Congrats on successful surgery!

SpectatorKris,
I have had steriotactic radiation three times and each time my tumor markers increased dramatically and stayed elevated. My radiologist does not like to run the tumor markers till atleast 10 weeks after completing treatment. I went from 400 to 1300 right after radiation then it went back to normal range.
