Trevor, I like to think I have youth on my side at 48….hehehe.. I had a spike in my CA -19-9 after radiation. My doctor feels that the tumor markers are just one way of looking at the situation, he relies on scans more. Somedays are great and someways all I want to do is cry. I have a love hate relationship with my chemo pump, I love that he keeps the cancer at bay but hate being attached to it, I named it Wilson. I will add you to our daily prayer list, my faith in our Lord has gotten me this far. If I was there I’d give you a big hug, I have a 21 yr. old son and I really feel for you at such a young age. Stay strong, miracles happen!

Hi Kristen, I am 48 years old and was diagnosed almost two years ago. We live in Bath, Ohio. Our development is on the old Firestone property and I wonder what type of chemicals they dumped here when it was just open land. My next door neighbor died of gliobastoma at 50 and another of prostate cancer at 48. I don’t drink and I don’t eat any raw fish. We have lived here for ten years. I no longer drink our water even though we have an extensive water filtration system and have had our water tested. Call me if you want to chat 330-903-6868.

Thank you for all the information. I hope you will help us with where our research dollars go after our fundraiser. When I had my first liver resection, they kept a large sample of the tumor. My doctor has it at a laboratory doing research on the tissue.
Thanks for being such a great source of knowledge.

We have created a fund called Craine’s Cholangiocarcinoma Crew Fund through the Akron Community Foundation. All of our funds will go to research that is overseen by their board of directors with imput from the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation and physicians. 100 percent to research. We are starting out with a marathon….check out our website
