SpectatorSharon,
I love to read the words successful resection, this is wonderful news. I had chemo after both of my resections but my tumors responded better to radiation than chemo. Everyone is different and only you know what is best for your body. I would recommend a second opinion and also that your medical team is running blood work every 8 weeks and scans every 12 weeks.

SpectatorWhen I was in college I worked in news for a local cable station. My first interview was with Joey Ramone in Cleveland, Ohio. I was quite preppy and naive at the time. I arrived at the nightclub and sat down next to Joey. My first line was to welcome him to Cleveland, he then leaned over about an inch from my face and belched in my face…..I didn’t know what to do so I smiled and kept going. Oh the college memories!

How can I help? I would like to attend the next ASCO meeting and so would Lisa Usher Layton, her husband Matt is on the board.

Sorry you did not get responses earlier. I do not have any experience with ascites but I know many have on this board. I do know that some have the fluid drained periodically for relief and that seems to work well. I am so happy to read that his CA 19-9 is trending down, how are his liver function blood results?

SpectatorJulie,
You can do it! You mentioned something about easier port access this time, please make sure you are using Emla cream on port before access, you will feel no pain. Praying for you.
