ModeratorJanecw,
So sorry to be hearing about your sister, but am happy for you to have found this site.
You will find tons of good information in regarding the treatment protocol your sister has chosen by using the “Search” function on top of the page. Also, when reading through the site you will notice “hope” is what drives all of us with some remarkeable results.
My best to you and your family

ModeratorCharlene,
At times threads become lost and you may feel unanswered with your questions. I found it to be helpful to be using the “Search” function on top of the bar. Just enter RFA or other words describing the treatment. It is a great way of reading up on the comments of others and at the same time it helps you through the waiting time until others can respond, and if by some reason your thread does become lost, just post it again.
The absolute best to you and John

ModeratorWelcome Kath and Hi Richard,
My husband chose to take in as much information as he was willing to process. I honored this wholeheartedly and feel comfortable knowing that I did not burden him with anything other than what he requested to be made aware of.

ModeratorDear Julie,
thank you for sharing your story about your wonderful Mom. My husband and I also where on a trip to Italy and other places in Europe when some of the symptoms appeared relating to this disease. Of course, just as it was in your case, no one suspected it to be CC,as it is a difficult diagnoses to make. Jeff explained it so well.
My heart goes out to you and I am hoping for your heart to heal…one day at a time…

ModeratorJadine,
I echo Kris in welcoming you.
You might (if you have not already done so) enter “Nutrition” on top in Search. You will be able to read several posts about nutrition. Also, Peter is following a strict diet, I believe.
Wishing the best of luck with the clinical trial and please, stay in touch.

ModeratorFran,
I am wondering about the infection, which I assume is causing his temperature to spike. Fran, have you discussed with his physician the possiblity for him to be on an IV antibiotic ?
Hoping and wishing for him to have a reprieve.

ModeratorMichelle,
From what I understand, there are few Hospital (generally, the larger ones) who have an MRI capable of scanning through metal therefore, as you said, the tumor can not be evaluated through regular MRI’s.
Hoping for Dirk to be regaining some comfort now, after having his ascities drained.
My best to you
