Thanks for putting this out there Marion. One of the supplements I give Doug is vitamin D. On the sunny days when he is up to a long walk in the sunshine I give him a break and tell him he has got his vitamin D for the day!
Doug had an appointment with his regular physician yesterday and he was surprised to see how well Doug was doing. He was interested in the naturopathic support we were giving Doug- hmmm.
    Have a great day. Nancy

That’s great news Shari! Yes, good cries clear out unwanted emotions and make you feel better! I think Spring is just around the corner and you will be enjoying the warmth of the sunshine soon. Have a great day! Nancy

It is my understanding chemo fatigue can last months after treatment. Your body has taken a beating and your white blood cells and platelets need time to recover. Ask your doctor about this. I think you could still have chemo fatigue. Take care. Nancy

Way to go Malcolm! Love to hear great news such as this. Sounds like your daughter is cooking up some good times with a fundraiser. Whats the AMMF?
Enjoy that St. Paddy’s day birthday!!

Hi Scott’sMum, Your mum is such a trooper, how she keeps coming around and chatting it up and all. She sounds like a real sweetheart. They say the last thing to go is hearing, so I agree with Lainy talk to her now and if you do not get the chance to say everything you wish she will know, she will feel it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Nancy

Awesome pictures Jen! Your Dad is just beaming! What a beautiful family.
I have to laugh a bit about the deep snow comments. I have 12 feet in my back yard! Any benches around Revelstoke we won’t be seeing for awhile! Anyway, I am so glad you were all able to spend family day together in your piece of paradise where you have shared so many wonderful memories.
    Hugs. Nancy

Oh Melanie, my heart breaks with you. I am a step behind you but I am afraid we will be there soon. We haven’t called in hospice yet so I will be listening to your replies as well. My husband does not have any blockage as well. I think we are both fortunate in that regard. Has he tried different pain killers? Doug tried 3 until he was happy with hydromorphone. What has he tried for the nausea? Hoping you manage to get him pain free ASAP. Hugs.

Andie, Sounds like you had a beautiful tribute to your wonderful Dad. Your young son touched my heart. Children know more than we give them credit for. Sounds like you have a great family and good friends to help hold you all together. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you get through this difficult time. Your Dad is with you forever, he will never be far. Love Nancy

Hi Randi, Great news! I love all the sayings about trouble and worry!
Antibiotics will not help inflammation unless there is an infection. Your doctor must not think there is an infection, but if you are not sure ask him/her to put your mind at ease. Now girl go and celebrate your milestone and try not to worry. Hugs. Nancy

Hi Margaret, So glad to hear that Tom is doing so much better after his rough couple of weeks. We sure on a roller coaster ride aren’t we! Make sure you are eating all those good foods and getting rest yourself. Hugs to both of you.

Ashley, My heart bleeds for you. My 3 children are in your age bracket and for them it is their Dad that is sick. I lost my Dad at a young age so I know how hard it is and how especially hard it was for my Mom. You will need to rely on each other to help you through this. Unfortunately there will be times we do not feel like it but we will survive these sad life situations. No matter what happens your mom will be with you forever. You will feel her every day. You will see her in yourself, your sister and your precious daughter. Hang in there Ashley, you are making precious memories each day. Hugs to you and your family. Nancy

Hi Roslyn, I was able to find a little information on the web. I would ask your oncologist for some written information. Has the oncologist suggested something as the next course of action? Keep asking questions! Hugs. Nancy
