SpectatorHi Tess. Just an abstract thought. Could your dad be having an allergic reaction to the white lining? Through all that Teddy has been through we have found MANY tapes that give him reactions.

SpectatorA good/not so good day is not bad. Bad is not good! PET Scans are good. Cancer is “what if” but we have to live with HOPE. Without hope we can’t cure Cancer. Good luck on the PET Scan, hope you pass with flying colors.

SpectatorYEA! That is such good news! Lets keep the good news rolling.

SpectatorNice work, Marion. Not sure I will ever learn the myriad of words you have written. Wow! You do yourself proud and we are proud to have you. Me & my shadow are looking forward to meeting you and I have already taken off work.

SpectatorStrictly my own opinion, because Teddy and I have discussed how much does one take. I don’t remember your dad’s age. If and when we reach that point, at 76, Teddy opts for quality of life. I feel anyone over 80 or so should not be made to suffer when we know what is around the corner with this monster. Again, my personal opinion. I would seek, however, one more opinion perhaps of a radiologist. Go with your gut feeling and it will be the right one.

SpectatorSorry, can’t help on meds but know that we LOVE you!!!!

SpectatorWell, welcome to the best little club in the world that no one wishes to join! You know you already have this monster beaten! Just from your great attitude and sense of humor. You even have me wanting to prepare something for you to eat! It sounds like you are controlling it, instead of it controlling you and thats a winning combination. And most importantly, thank-you for serving your country and making us safe! Keep up the attitude and please keep us posted.

SpectatorYEA!!!! You go girl! Don’t ever feel guilty about beating this monster. I used to feel that way when posting about Teddy’s success so far. I have now come to realize it gives everyone such hope to hear success stories. You have worked long and hard to tell this story. Keep up the good news and we are so very happy for you!

SpectatorHi Ashlea and welcome to the best little club in the world that no one wishes to join. I echo what everyone said above and want to stress getting a second opinion. It would help us to know where you are and who you have seen. You have a big right to be scared as we all have been. After the scare, you will begin to feel the fight come out and that is normal as well as that is when you become strong enough to rule this cancer. It is also scary because there is not much known about it. The only thing we know for sure is that we don’t know much! So get in that strong mode and read on this site, lots. You have come to the right place to vent and ask as we have the most caring people in the world all right here.

SpectatorA I said Lisa, Teddy at 76 was doing finance work for a huge produce company.
What else does a Sicilian do?? He was fine. I think what you are used to doing is fine. You don;t forget that.
Tess, I never point out to T how he is talking. In fact this morning I was telling him about our new thread we are discussing here and he looked as if it didn’t pertain to him. And I forgot he also gets testy. But on that I call him out. I told him he is turning in to his brother who was very “fiery” and then he stops. Know what girls? As long as we can laugh about it we are OK! P.S. by the way Teddy is on no meds except Prevacid every morning for his stomach. So for him its not the meds causing it. That is why I truly believe its the radiation. We live in an adult community here in Phoenix and we have a saying: I have CRAFT disease! Can’t Remember A F
Thing! I cleaned it up a tad.lainy
SpectatorHaha Tess, that is sooo funny. I recall now that when T was recovering from the Whipple and only wanted 1/4 bowl of oatmeal I slipped him 1/2 bowl and he noticed!!!! I guess we have a new side effect for cancer called…..for chemo or radiation….”chemrad brain”????? I smell a contest here. We need some fun too, right? Someone needs to come up with a name for this side effect!!! My entry is chemrad brain. And just like cholangiocarcinoma on the web it is always underlined for spelling as no one has ever heard of it!!!!!!!!!!
lainy
SpectatorNo thank you! I rather use my age. Its great, Lisa. I have earned the right to say what I want and everyone else chalks it up to my age. Teddy has lots of aches and pains but then he is 76. You are probably right about the chemo as you are still just a young girl!!!

SpectatorHi Caroline, my husband had Cyber knife AFTER a Whipple surgery to remove tumor from bile duct valve. The cancer returned where the duodenum used to be and that is where the CK was used. Where is your Aunt’s tumor? If CK can be used it is miraculous.

SpectatorHans, you can hijack us anytime! Yes, I recall that very post and for the life of me I can’t remember who but I just know that by morning someone will answer with the name. Please, tell Kris we are all thinking of her and praying for her and I think she could have used a stronger term than a shi–y day! It would certainly apply.
