IMarion, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you are dealing with cancer. You were the first person who reached out to me on the board and offered me so much love and comfort. You are a true blessing to so many and I know how much I appreciate your kindness and ability to navigate Cholangiocarcinoma for us patients. You will be in my daily prayers.

Everyone has given such good advise already. MDA is topnotch and so is Dr. Javle at MDA. I was diagnosed stage IV ICC in 2010 and had surgeries, chemos and radiation, a multidisciplinary team is crucial. Sending prayers

Welcome to this wonderful foundation and all the caring supporters!! I don’t have any experience with the treatment you are mentioning but I will be praying for your girlfriend and you as well.
LisaPraying this is not a recurrence but if it is there are so many treatment options. I have had five recurrences and we just plug along and consider it a chronic disease.

I was diagnosed in 2010 stage IV icc. I always suggest a second or third opinion from a multidisciplinary team at a medical facility that has treated cc before. I have read so many articles about radiation not being effective for cc but I had SBRT three times and the treatment killed four tumors.
