    Hi Jim,
I also experienced night sweats before I was diagnosed and early in my battle against cancer. I thought it was menopause :)

Once the tumor shrank and the bili count went down, the night sweats went away for me.

    Just my 2 cents.

I’d love to go and help out if I could.

Hey y’all – airfare and hotels in Orlando are cheap! I found a package from Seattle for $446. This includes 6 nights at a hotel.

Maybe I can figure out a way to go and help out.

Gemzar actually did work for me for a year. I’m now on Oxaliplatin and Xeloda. I am not big on alternative medicines – all talk and no show if you ask me.

I hope you can find something that helps Fiona.

I was told to avoid anti-oxidents because they counteract the chemotherapy. We want to kill cells, not keep them healthy when we are on chemo.

That being said, I do take a not-so-strong vitamin every day to help keep my strength up.

    Dear Rose May,
I am so sorry to hear of the trouble you are having.
There have been a few of us who have had exploratory surgery, only to find out that the tumor was not resectable. It’s a real let-down. I hope they can get your numbers down so you can have a successful resection. The external bag is a pain, isn’t it? I hope that it is real temporary and you can get better soon.
    Take care,
    Lisa

I don’t know if it is normal, but I had hallucinations when I was on morphine. Just a thought.

Thank you for your story, Pam.

I live near Puget Sound and I love going to the beach and gazing out on the water. It refreshes the soul.

That’s interesting. I’ll ask my doctor about that.

    Hi Kris,
The portacath is great. I’m sorry you had to go through the pain that you did. Are you able to drink anything cold?

I’m glad you all are so honest about the dying process. I remain realistically optimistic, but I know that unless there is a miracle, I too will die. I’m ok with that. I’m not ok with people telling me “‘just have faith that God will cure you.” I have faith, but I have faith that God will deal with me according to His will, not my own.

You all also inspire me to keep up with the chemo, no matter how much of a pain in the neck (and fingers and toes) it is.

    Much love,
    Lisa
