    Hi Melanie, I don’t know where you are but there has been a nasty flu bug going around here. I am praying for good results for you two with the scan!
    I understand fully how you feel. Everytime something is happening with Doug I think – is it the disease? the chemo? the pain killers? Not fun!

    Happy Birthday Herb!! A great milestone and a wonderful family to share it with! One day I will look for that bench in Kananaskis. Here’s hoping your next visit there will not be so cold!!! Doug understands – he really feels the cold as well. We now look forward to his 60th on May 3rd! Hugs to all of you.

    Thanks so much Lainy, Cheryl and Marion for your kind remarks. We were pretty shaken up tonight. My son’s fiancee and her family are in Christchurch New Zealand for a wedding and holiday. Just got word that they are all okay after a few hours of intense worry and no contact. I do not think my nerves will ever be the same. Maybe a glass of wine before bed, no that will probably make me cry. Hope I can sleep. Hugs to you all.

    Glad your friend is getting the whipple right away – no waiting. We will be cheering him on all the way! Sound like Gerry (above) is doing very wll after

    I will look at the stars tonight and think of which one might be Ben. Talking to your star (Ben) will be a great comfort to you and your daughter. My heart goes out to both of you and your family and friends. I wish I could take the pain away. Nancy

    Sorry to hear of your Dad. I am so glad he made it to your wedding last summer and was able to enjoy his first grandchild. Those memories as well as many others will help you through this difficult time. I too lost my Dad when he was a couple weeks shy of his 58th birthday and I was 18. Not a day goes by when he is not with me and he continues to give me strength as I care for my 59 year old husband with cc.
