Trung Nguyen

1960-2021

On March 20th, 2021, Trung passed away in the love and comfort of his home, after fighting a brave battle with cancer (intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma). Trung was the loving husband of Susan, and father to Michelle (Tim), Christina and Marie. His life was spent caring for others, such as his two nieces, Ty and Tien, who came to live with the family to attend school. He loved to cook, laugh and spend time with his family.

Trung’s life was filled with many hardships, but every time he spoke of what he had been through, he was proud of how far he had come and the life he had built with his family. His impact on this earth was profound, and he was loved by all who knew him.

In celebration of his life and to honor his memory, we are setting up a fundraiser for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. This is a very rare disease with a high percentage of unfavourable outcomes. Our family’s hope is that this money will help fund research that will go towards extending the lives of those who are affected by cholangiocarcinoma. We stand with patients, families, doctors, nurses and support workers who are fighting this battle bravely.
