Lisa Marie Battaglia-Schwartz

December 31, 1960 – February 9, 2016

Mrs. Lisa Marie Battaglia-Schwartz, a resident of Andover, formerly of Sudbury and beloved wife of Dr. Steven Schwartz, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Tuesday evening, February 9, 2016. She was 55 years old. She fought cholangiocarcinoma with courage and grace for 3 years

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on December 31, 1960, she was the daughter of Jack and Doris M. (Markiewicz) Battaglia. Lisa was graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania and had also attended the Sheffield School of Design. She had worked as an Interior Designer for many years. Lisa also worked as a buyer for the Taggerts Men’s Shop, Narragansett, and a district manager for Irresistables. In her spare time, Lisa enjoyed cooking, gardening and extensive travel with her beloved husband Steven. She was proud to be a volunteer at the Cancer Center at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Above all, she was a very devoted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be dearly missed.

Besides her husband, Steve and parents, Jack and Doris, she is survived by her loving siblings; Mark J. Battaglia of Ft. Myers, Florida, Jonathan R. and his wife Heather of San Jose, California and Stacy L. and her husband John Gromacki of Erie, Pennsylvania, nieces and nephews; Phoebe and Page Gromacki, and Casey, Melanie, Roslynn, and Samuel Knapp, and Aunts and Uncles Carole and Edward Zimm and Patty Muscarella. She is also survived by Pearl Schwartz, wife of the late Donald Schwartz, Alysia R Knapp and her husband Kenneth C Knapp.
