Cym Hawksworth Lowell

Cym Hawksworth Lowell passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021, surrounded by his family, after a two and a half year battle with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare but aggressive liver bile duct cancer. Cym was a devoted husband, wonderful father, loyal brother, true friend and passionate person. He loved life and lived it fully during his 74 years. Cym and his wife, Dale, found comfort and support through the forums for caregivers and patients. To celebrate and honor Cym’s memory, we are creating a fundraising initiative for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation to help with the research needed to help diagnose this rare and aggressive cancer earlier as well as establish new treatments to increase the survival rate for those affected by it. Through this initiative, we hope to give to families who may be impacted with this not only more time with their loved ones, but the possibility of victory. Cym was a fighter and fought hard until the very end. We all wish he had won his battle. Cym touched so many people in his personal life and his professional life as a prominent attorney. We have been so deeply moved by how many lives he impacted. Cym was generous and kind. He encouraged everyone to dream big and work hard. With this foundation, we wish to continue the impact he made on so many people’s lives and support those affected by this terrible disease.
