June 11, 1952 – October 9, 2017
On October 9, 2017, a cherished husband, father, and friend, Ronald Dunlap lost a valiant six month battle with cancer (a rare bile duct cancer called intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma). Ronald was the loving husband to Ellen and father to his beloved Erin.
It was with great shock when Ron was diagnosed with cancer this past April and our family knew life would never be the same. With his incredible dignity, strength and serenity, the days left were blessed with dear friends and family holding our family close. For all of those challenging months, it was Ron’s strength that held us up.
In celebration of Ron’s life and to honor his memory, we ask you to consider making a donation to the “Cholangiocarcinoma foundation” in lieu of flowers. This organization’s mission is to find a cure and improve quality of life for those affected with this rare cancer. It is a silent killer, as the majority of patients are diagnosed at stage four – leaving them with extremely limited options. Research is being funded by this foundation to identify early biomarkers in order to obtain an early diagnosis with more treatment options.
The Dunlap family and their friends thank you for honoring Ron’s memory by accelerating research for this devastating disease.
If you wish to donate by phone, please call (888) 936-6731 and speak with Laurie Kikel. If you wish to donate by mail, send check to:
