D. Frederick Weaver

Fred Weaver, 71, of Palmyra, formerly of Hershey, passed away early on the morning of March 4, 2022.

Born on October 30, 1950, in Hershey, son of the late Hubert L. and Joan Elizabeth (Smith) Weaver.  Fred was a graduate of Hershey High School, Class of 1969.  Growing up on Derry Road, Fred could always be found with his ice hockey skates headed to the rink.  As a member of the Hershey Pee Wees, Cubs, later the Hershey Junior Bears, and a linesman for the American Hockey League, Fred loved hockey.  If was at the rink where he met the love of his life, Anna Mae, and they began their life together.  They were blessed with 48 years of marriage.

Owner of Penn Hershey Moving and Storage, Fred was known by everyone.  He was well respected throughout Hershey and the community over his entire life. For those who knew him from the moving truck, the Arena, the baseball field, or just around town, there was no one Fred couldn’t make laugh.  His infectious humor, well-told jokes, generosity, and love were the center of our family and will continue to be for the rest of our lives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Jo (Weaver) Tintle.  Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae (Donato) Weaver, and his children, son Fred and wife Katie Weaver, daughter Kristen and husband Justin Hall, as well as his sister Maryann (Weaver) Schmidt, all of Palmyra.   Fred leaves his legacy of laughter to his 8 beautiful grandchildren that he loved more than life itself.  His grandkids were his life for the past 19 years; Braden, Jacob, Timothy, Kali, Jovie, Weston, Tagert and Lansing will be forever loved by their “Papaw.”

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation at cholangiocarcinoma.org.   Please reference “TEAMFRED.”  Because no one fights alone ♥
